Pros and cons of BioLogic BikeBrain – GPS bike and cycle computer app for iPhone and iPad

BioLogic BikeBrain – GPS bike and cycle computer app good for

I had cyclemeter and it worked so so. With a $4.99 price tag I was not impressed. bikebrain works great and is free !!!!
Love this app - quick and easy dashboards, keeps my routes, posts to Google Maps, Twitter and others for sharing, works for 2 bikes. I have used the Palm version in the past, but now with the GPS on the iPhone - its fantastic. I upgraded to the Plus version and got more. Anyone with a bike get this great tool, and get a mount for it and ENJOY!!
With the arrival of summer weather Ive been trying out several bike computer apps. BikeBrain is simply the best. The straightforward interface is like something Apple would do if they were to design a bike app. Everything is literally right at your fingertips, and the ability to swipe between screens is brilliant. These guys at BioLogic are definitely using their brains, and theyre obviously serious cyclists too. Kudos, and many thanks.
This app is fantastic. It is accurate, reliable and awesome. I only recently bought a commuter bike and have been using this app since day one. It has quickly become my favorite phone app.
There is no way to bulk export the GPX and KML data from all trips recorded with BikeBrain? I had several dozen trips recorded before purchasing the in-app sharing upgrade. Now I’m having to manually email the data from each individual trip as a separate set of file attachments. What a tedious process. A bulk export option would be very welcome.
Ive used this app for 9 rides now and I am impressed. The mapping and stats work well. Ive not tried to download or share but I can look at route maps, stats, graph of speed vs time (or vs distance). My Jarv heart rate monitor connected via Bluetooth flawlessly & it displays your hear rate on the training page. Wish list item: show heart rate on the graph & save after the ride / workout.

Some bad moments

The app works great to just track your rides. The app has had its ups and downs. It no longer seems to allow you to share your trips to Facebook. Gets hung up on sharing because of google maps. I wouldnt pay for the upgrade, if you are wanting to share to Facebook or social media look for another app.
The app stopped recording GPS data after about a minute you start recording. Other apps, like Argus (Azumio), works perfectly even in background. Another problem is that, at startup, app show an error popup "unable to show alert messages" asking to let Tigrafit (!!!!!) open notifications. I let bikebrain to show all notification but the error persists.
Ive been riding 20-30 miles a day for a year. I have a cheap computer on my bike. This app is amazing and matched my cheap wired bike computer within 1-2 miles an hour. Any biker needs this. Its awesome to see all you are doing for your physical fitness
I use Bike Brain on every ride for its display. Easy to read and seems very accurate. I use this coupled with Strava since I like the segment feature with that one.
The BikeBrain folks have been promising heart rate and cadence for over a year now. The fact that the console still shows displays for heart rate and cadence is very misleading. The rest of the app is quite good, but the lack of these other measurements is very disappointing
Insanely good! If there is another cycling app out there as good as Bike Brain, then pigs fly. Wind speed? Are you kidding? Should I give it four stars because it doesnt cut the grass or give me change for a dollar? The case is extremely well designed and constructed also. Dont hesitate. If you want a cyclocomputer, this is it. Period.
